Senior Accountant

Position: The Senior Accountant position will manage our team of accountants and report to the Director of Finance. As the leader of the accounting team, this candidate will need strong leadership skills, confidence in accuracy and to demonstrate strong analytical abilities.

Direct Supervisor: Director of Finance


  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.

  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.

  • Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.

  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.

  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

In order to perform the responsibilities of this positions, candidates must fulfill the below requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the US

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA certified

  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • 6-10 years’ experience in accounting/ finance

  • Collaborative spirit that prefers teamwork is a must

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements

  • Experience in Corporate Finance
